The Drywall Podcast
The Drywall Podcast was created by entrepreneur Nick Harmony Long time Journeyman Finisher, Owner and developer of Fresco Harmony because there wasn’t a podcast dedicated to the men and women who make the Drywall Industry what it is. From this podcast we’ve enriched relationships, fostered community and documented the history of drywall and beyond.

Welcome to the original Drywall Podcast. Alan started The Drywall-Cast in 2020 preceding The Drywall Podcast by more than a year and a half. You may need to learn Portuguese to listen to that but he's been busy building community in and around the drywall industry in his own way. Alan also runs Pia' Drywall out of Ottawa currently. He's primarily a drywall hanger and we talk about how he transitioned from the banking industry to drywall because it was more lucrative. Alan is just the nicest guy you could ever meet and I really enjoyed our conversation on this, the 46th episode of The Drywall Podcast.

Kevin is back for another adventurous episode of The Drywall Podcast in Part II of Adventures in Drywall only on The Drywall Podcast. Kevin and I dive right into one of his articles on helping children with disabilities called, "Rock on, Rock off." We also talk fasteners, butt board and glues. He also explains to me why a product called the Wet and Stick didn't stick around long enough to make it to the market. Kevin is a wealth of knowledge about the drywall industry and I wouldn't be doing this series if he wasn't. We have a ball and a lot of laughs on this, the 45th episode of The Drywall Podcast. I hope you enjoy!

I finally caught up with Wolfgang Dombrowski, owner of CanAm tools out of Edmonton Ontario. Wolfgang is an absolute pleasure to talk business with but his zest for the tools really captured my attention. We discuss how he got his start with CanAm tools, why working with a product appealed to him from the start, and difficult aspects of running a business. You can tell right away that Wolfgang is a very good business man and that shines through in this interview. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did. I'd also like to give a special thanks to CanAm tools for sponsoring the months of March and April. You can head over to CanAmtools.com and enter promo code TDP15 for a discount through the end of April.

At 23, Kyle is the youngest guest we've had on the podcast. Don't let that title fool you though. Kyle is very knowledgeable about the trade and we get into various aspects of the slop box amongst other things. We talk about mullets, shoe wear, and an incident he may have been involved in with CSR and Columbia tools. He's not afraid to speak his mind and I play devils advocate on this, the 43rd podcast of The Drywall Podcast. I hope you enjoy it!

Geoff Mills is definitely more than your average taper. He's willing to go above and beyond in the construction industry. Our conversation ranges from the rare tools of "Better Than Ever" to his side hustle building fences. We also dive into the world of venetian plaster when his painter approached him with a project that ended up spanning more than a year. Geoff is a worker and it's evident from his passion in this interview. If this is your first time listening or you're a seasoned listener you'll surely be inspired and blown away by Geoff Mills on this, the 42nd podcast of The Drywall Podcast. I hope you enjoy it!

You never know who you're going to run into on The Drywall Podcast. I had no clue Jay was such an accomplished person. He's well traveled, well spoken, and has dabbled in a lot of different occupations. Jay and I talk about his time in the hair industry, of all things, working with Brian from Drywall Nation, and setting the standard in Chattanooga TN. Jay is interested in trying out Fresco Harmony so we talk a bit about different strategies for selling and branching out into a new market. I really enjoyed this interview and I know you will too on the 41st episode of The Drywall Podcast.
This episode is sponsored by CanAm Tools - CanAm tools celebrating 50 years as the original inventor of the semi-automatic drywall finishing too.

Well I finally got to catch up with Brad Hannah at the CSR new secret location recently and man did we have a good time. Brad and I hit it off right away and had a very short but good conversation about how he may have been a bad boy in the past but he's changed his ways and why that's important to him now. Brad is a character and I'm counting the days until I get to have a much more substantial conversation with him on this "special edition" episode of The Drywall Podcast.

Kayla was an absolute gem to have on the show. Not only because of her vast knowledge of the drywall industry but I really enjoyed her openness. She's put herself out there to be criticized in a world of hard core Drywallers who aren't afraid to tear a person apart. She's made mistakes in relationships and come out the other side even more powerful. If there ever was a drywall finisher who encapsulates the essence of the industry it's Kayla Sullivan-Beckett. From CanAm to Circle Brand and beyond. She's the quintessential ambassador of the industry and I'm proud to have had the opportunity to talk with her. I'm sure you'll be inspired too after a few minutes of listening to this, the 40th episode of The Drywall Podcast.

If something is too good to be true it generally is. Not the case with the spy Sponge. When I first saw the Spy Sponge I thought to myself, "What a simple tool." Nothing would be farther from the truth. The complication and depth of knowledge is vast. Not only that, Jake Creeley had the foresight to give it to his crew and not even tell them he'd created it because he wanted honest feedback. That's just the way Jake is. I've met lots of entrepreneurs and I have to say that Jake is one of the best I've come across. Not only does he run an extremely successful drywall company in Buffalo, he also dabbles in real estate speculation all while marketing this amazing new product. Jake and I get deep in the weeds on this, the 39th episode of The Drywall Podcast.

Jake is a union drywall professional with a knack for selling tools. He has an idea and the will to make it happen. He's already attracted some big names and is turning heads in the industry. We discuss everything from ice baths, the importance of exercise, to the burden of chewing tobacco. Jake is very knowledgable about all aspects of the drywall industry and is even selling a new tool called the "Tape Worm." Jake is a pioneer in the drywall industry and you'll see why on this, the 38th episode of The Drywall Podcast.
