I recently had the distinct pleasure of traveling up to British Columbia and touring the Columbia Tools facility in Surrey BC.  We ran a Fresco Harmony training and had a ton of fun doing an accent wall and playing with all the cool tools there.  Afterwards we headed up to beautiful Salt Spring Island where I got a chance to Meet the founder of Columbia Tools Bernie St James.  We hit it off right away and it was an honor discussing the history of Columbia Tools and why he was able to carve out one of the best brands in the business.  Bernie is down to earth and very candid in this, the 54th podcast on The Drywall Podcast.  I hope you love it!

Kristi is one of my absolute favorite people.  She's bubbly, cute, and a hard ass worker.  She's recently been recognized by UPAT (International Union of Painters and Allied Trades) and has been tapped to be the ambassador for Canada.  Don't think she's let this opportunity go to her head.  She's just as humble and passionate as ever on this, the 54th episode of The Drywall Podcast.

What a pleasure getting to know Derrick Trout.  He's been in and around the industry for a long time.  He runs East Coast Drywall Tools where he's created quite a collection of vintage drywall tools that you won't see or hear about anywhere else.  We discuss that, how he started collecting tools and a little bit about distribution and the industry on this, the 53rd podcast of The Drywall Podcast.  I sincerely hope you gain some knowledge on this one.

Daniel Atkinson is the first European on The Drywall Podcast and we couldn't be more pleased.  His soft demeanor and kind energy make way for an honest and knowledgable interview.  We dive into the differences between the trades in England and the United States.  We discuss his time working with his father, life and the pursuit of happiness.  We also discuss differences in drywall compound as well as varying techniques used by Europeans.  Come travel with me over the pond to Bracknell England and we can discover together how similar we all are on this, the 52nd, episode of The Drywall Podcast.

Jonathan found me on The Drywall Podcast and reached out inquiring about how to branch out on his own.  We got to talking on the phone and I decided we needed to have a podcast dedicated to the questions he was asking and to serve as a guiding light for other drywall professions who may want to venture out on their own.  We also do a deep dive into how to market and sell a new patch business and also Fresco Harmony on this, the 51st episode of The Drywall Podcast.  I hope you enjoy it!

Beside myself with the generosity and openness of the drywall community.  In honor of episode 50 I decided to put together a compilation of some of my favorite pearls of wisdom from various episodes into one awesome episode.  I love the inspiration that comes from the individuals that make this trade great and I hope you do too on this, the 50th episode of The Drywall Podcast.  I hope you love this one as much as I do.  Oh, and thank you for listening for the last year.  I don't think I'd still be doing it if it wasn't for your support!

Ken is the classic New York Drywaller.  He's been in the trade for over 45 years, he's worked in the Union and ran his own business.  He's a salty hand finisher that's almost too old to learn new tricks.  Well, that is until he ran across The Drywall Podcast and learned about Fresco Harmony.  We talk about his experience trying out the Fresco Harmony system, the meaning of the term "Hawk," and how to get paid more for your experience on this, the 49th episode of The Drywall Podcast.

Gary Holt is from Australia and has been in and around the trades for a long time. We take a stroll through the old days on Drywall Talk, the old guys using horse hair in the old plaster systems and learning the trade from a young age.  Gary also has an amazing knowledge of the tools and we discuss his relationship with Tape Pro and distributers in his area.  We also talk about his involvement with The Stealth sander by Tape Pro and why he is behind this innovative sander.  I hit it off with Gary right away and I know you will too on this, the 48th episode of The Drywall Podcast.

Jason is a fantastic guy.  For only having been in business a short while he's built up his business to 20 employees and shows no sign of stopping.  He's dabbling in real estate and fully understands what it means to be an entrepreneur.  He runs the Facebook group Remodelers Worldwide which is fantastic and will be getting married soon.  We talk about all that and more on the 47th episode of The Drywall Podcast.  I hope you enjoy it!

Welcome to the original Drywall Podcast.  Alan started The Drywall-Cast in 2020 preceding The Drywall Podcast by more than a year and a half.  You may need to learn Portuguese to listen to that but he's been busy building community in and around the drywall industry in his own way.  Alan also runs Pia' Drywall out of Ottawa currently.  He's primarily a drywall hanger and we talk about how he transitioned from the banking industry to drywall because it was more lucrative.  Alan is just the nicest guy you could ever meet and I really enjoyed our conversation on this, the 46th episode of The Drywall Podcast.
