The Drywall Podcast

The Drywall Podcast was created by entrepreneur Nick Harmony Long time Journeyman Finisher, Owner and developer of Fresco Harmony because there wasn’t a podcast dedicated to the men and women who make the Drywall Industry what it is. From this podcast we’ve enriched relationships, fostered community and documented the history of drywall and beyond.

As soon as I started talking to Ray I knew this was going to be a good episode.  Ray is an excellent conversationalist.  We dive right into his story.  Ray is open about his struggles with drugs and alcohol early on in his career but cleaned up and now has 40 years of sobriety to brag about.  We talk about that but we also talk about the various companies he's worked with spanning from Chicago to Arizona to Florida.  Oh and a little channel he started on YouTube called "The Drywall Doctor on YouTube that has reached over 47K followers.  His depth of knowledge runs deep and I'm sure you're going to love this, the 95th episode of The Drywall Podcast.

Walter has been buying Fresco Harmony for a long time.  I know this because I used to read a book to my son called Walter the Baker and I made the reference early on.  He's continued to do a lot of Fresco Harmony so after his latest order I said to myself, "I need to have him on the show."  Well we finally got him on and I can't believe what a wealth of drywall knowledge he has.  Especially surrounding spray texture and tools.  We talk a lot about his experience coming up in the trade but also do a deep dive into the automatic tools and also why he got into Fresco Harmony.  Walter is a fantastic conversationalist and if you've never listened to The Drywall Podcast before this is an excellent place to start.

At 20 years old Faith is the youngest person to grace the microphone of The Drywall Podcast.  She may be young but she has an impressive drive.  Her and her boyfriend Tyler have been together since they were 15 and they both run the business.  We talk about the challenges of starting out, how she listened to the omens that were telling her which way to go and we also talk a little about technique and how she likes to finish.  She was just a pleasure to talk to and I hope you enjoy this, the 93rd episode of The Drywall Podcast

We welcome back ItsYaManKam to the podcast.  It's been a while but Kam's been busy accomplishing just about anything you can think of with Fresco Harmony.  His latest conquest was a wood paneling job in Sardis Ohio that had his clients perplexed until Kam suggested Fresco Harmony.  The rest, as they say, is history but that doesn't mean he didn't receive some harsh criticisms from the social media circuit for his efforts.  Kam wanted to go on the record and talk about his experience with this latest project and bring some answers to the many questions he's received about Fresco Harmony and wood paneling covers.  We also discuss his latest trip to Build 23, how he's become the quintessential brand ambassador in the drywall trade, and how he approaches social media all packed into this wonderful episode, the 92nd episode, of The Drywall Podcast.

Friday Apr 05, 2024

On the 90th episode we catch up with Chris Bush out of Three forks Montana.  Chris is a very evolved 28 year old drywall finisher who runs his own business and had a knack for selling Fresco Harmony but that's not all.  He also has an affinity for painting cars so we talk about that quite a bit.  He turns the interview on its head at the end when he asks yours truly some questions about how I got into the trade and how I came up with Fresco Harmony.  I'm really impressed with this up and coming super star of the finishing trade and I can't wait for you to get to know him as well.

On this episode of The Drywall Podcast we we welcome back an old friend to the Show.  Chad and I first met when he made the pilgrimage down to Albuquerque to learn about Fresco Harmony many years ago.  Since then he's made quite an impact in the drywall community not only continuing on his Fresco Harmony adventures but also branching out into other realms of plaster systems.  We talk about those systems, how he prices and handles all the work he has going and a little about the upcoming adventure in Surry British Columbia.  Chad is a great guy and I know you'll love this episode, the 89th episode, of The Drywall Podcast.

Ahmed and I hit it off right away because we're both fans of soccer but as the interview progresses we find we have a whole lot more in common.  From music to ice baths to drywall we cover it all.  We discuss his meager beginnings out of college with a business degree he has no idea what to do with and found himself a first generation Drywaller living his best life but it wasn't until he had a video go viral that he rediscovered his passion for the industry.  Ahmed is a great guy and I know you'll feel the same altering listening to this, the 85th episode of The Drywall Podcast.
